Adult Therapy

Entering into adulthood can feel like a daunting time for younger adults. Pressures and challenges from academics, employment, or both may be at an all time high. Embracing a more newfound independence that comes in early adulthood may sometimes feel overwhelming and anxiety provoking when you are aiming to find a balance between social, familial, academic, employment, or perhaps a mixture of all these expectations. Being an active participant in your life to bring about positive change can take place when you decide to enter into talk therapy. In talk therapy, you can get support in making significant life decisions, exploring and identifying your attachment styles in relationships, enhancing your emotional maturity and intelligence, and much more.

Adulthood in later years may have brought some ease that you faced in getting past your earlier adulthood experiences. Arriving to a time in later adulthood with a comparatively increased sense of ease may in large part be due to your increased sense of wisdom. While you may have established ways to cope with life’s challenges, sometimes there remain lingering issues that have not obtained sufficient attention in the past.  While having an increased sense of autonomy, you may strongly benefit from having support in navigating various stages of career development, changes in physical functioning, challenges that come with increased relational intimacies, or challenges in family planning. Talk therapy can help you explore practical and meaningful solutions to life’s issues in ways that adhere to your individuality as a more experienced adult.
